MES Indian School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a great Indian leader and inspiring freedom fighter, with an array of activities across all sections. Special assemblies commemorated Gandhi’s noble qualities of love, non-violence and simplicity. Students delivered speeches paying glowing tribute to the Father of the Indian nation and highlighting the significance of adhering to his principles in the present-day context.

In a fancy dress competition, KG 1 students came dressed as various iconic figures from India's freedom struggle, including Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and others. KG 2 students took part in an elocution competition. In the Junior Section, Ahmed Zayan portrayed the role of Gandhi, while Aydin Rahman, Zara Fatima, and Muhammed Zayan performed a skit on the 'Three Monkeys of Gandhi.’

In the Boys’ Section, a formation of a charkha (cloth spinning wheel) was created by 350 students on the school grounds, as a tribute to the Mahatma. In the Girls’ Section, various literary and art-related competitions were held. These included colour pencil drawing on Gandhi with Children, poster designing on non-violence, Gandhian Calendar, and essay writing on Lal Bahadur Shastri: The Architect of India’s Resilience.
