The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, will host tomorrow Sunday, the 10th meeting of the ministers responsible for Islamic affairs and endowments in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The meeting will address several important issues, including the exchange of scientific research and experiences in the field of endowments through interactive virtual seminars, sharing experiences in Islamic affairs, establishing a global endowment day, and creating a Gulf scientific observatory to highlight the true image of Islams tolerance. Additionally, the meeting will discuss preparing a working paper on the role of ministries of endowments and religious affairs in supporting people with disabilities, as well as another paper on the importance of caring for historical mosques. Several other topics of mutual interest will also be on the agenda.
These meetings serve as a strategic platform to discuss challenges, share expertise and best practices, and coordinate efforts among GCC countries to achieve consensus and enhance the social role of endowments and religious institutions. This contributes to achieving developmental goals, elevating the religious sector, and empowering it to fulfill its civilizational and humanitarian mission, meeting the aspirations of the region's people for prosperity, stability, and sustainable development.
It is worth noting that Qatar previously hosted the 9th meeting of assistant ministers responsible for Islamic affairs and endowments in GCC countries on Sep. 9, which was a preparatory meeting for this upcoming 10th meeting.
