Qatar hosted the 11th Meeting of the Senior Officials Committee of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) Economic and Development Affairs Authority in Doha on Sunday.

The meeting was attended by undersecretaries of ministries of finance and economy in the GCC states.

The meeting was chaired by Dr Saud bin Abdullah al-Attiyah, Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance.

During his opening speech, he welcomed delegation heads and participating delegations to Qatar. He emphasised that this meeting aims to enhance co-operation, financial integration, and the economic model among GCC countries.

The agenda covered several topics related to the stages of economic integration within the GCC, particularly focusing on the governance of joint Gulf economic and development initiatives.

As well as developments in the implementation plan, work mechanisms, and the timeline for building the Gulf economic model.
