The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change spotted a Eurasian griffon vulture at Al Raqqah, north of Qatar, during a routine daily inspection tour by the Wildlife Protection Department.
The ministry posted on its official X account that an environment inspector noticed the presence of this bird, which was last seen in Qatar around three years ago and a Qatari photographer captured its photo.
