The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has announced a series of events as part of the ongoing Korea-Qatar 50th Anniversary celebrations. For three days, the embassy said that it will be staging the ‘Korea-Qatar 50th Anniversary Korean Movie Night’ at the Novo Cinema, at Msherieb Downtown Doha.

Film lovers can watch the following movies for free starting at 7pm: ‘Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island' (October 17); ‘How to Steal a Dog’ (October 18); and ‘Luck-Key' (October 19). Seat reservations are available at [email protected] and +97471957211 via WhatsApp.

On October 19, the embassy will host the Korean Speech Contest at Qatar University (QU) under the theme ‘Hanguk: From My Perspective’ third edition for female students. The contest will be held in collaboration with the South Korean Club at QU.

The participants will give the audience a glimpse of South Korea during the following categories: the ‘Korean Speech Contest’ and the ‘Presentation Contest about Korea’, which will be held from 12.30pm to 5.30pm at the QU Ibn Al Bitar Building, Pharmacy (I06).
