Milipol Qatar 2024, to be held from October 29-31 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, will host an Opening Summit on artificial intelligence. Titled ‘artificial intelligence serving homeland security : mix of challenges and opportunities’, the summit will focus on various topics including ‘use of drones’, ‘toward a trusted AI: governance’ and ‘Metaverse / VR’.

According to Milipol Qatar official website, apart from AI, cybersecurity and cyber threats, the seminars will focus on a wide range of topics including fire safety, rescue operations, challenges in protecting high-rise buildings, advancements in fire prevention methods and enhancing road safety and security. Also, the event will address securing ports, airports, borders, and transportation projects within Qatar National Vision 2030 along with border protection programmes and the challenges faced by coastguards. The sessions will explore the latest advancements in digital biometrics designed to modernise policing and streamline criminal identification and investigative processes.

The focus will be on adopting physical and cybersecurity measures to protect critical infrastructure, utilising modern technology for smart and safe cities, and developing forensic sciences used in investigations. Additionally, Milipol Qatar 2024 is set to welcome over 222 exhibitors, 11,500 visitors and 389 official delegates worldwide, showcasing the latest in state-of-the-art security strategies, communication systems, and emergency response tools. The 15th edition of the event, with the theme 'Technology in the service of security,' promises to surpass the achievements of previous editions.

The event will see the signing of agreements between government entities and private companies.

Organised by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with Comexposium Security, representing the GIE Milipol under Civipol, the co-operation implementer of the French Ministry of the Interior and Overseas, the event plays a crucial role in addressing Qatar’s growing security needs and supports the security goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.
