Qatari mediation efforts to end conflicts a subject of pride for all the Arabs: envoy

The speech of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani at the inauguration of the fourth ordinary session of the first legislative term, corresponding to the 53rd annual session of the Shura Council, and its key messages were highly welcomed by a number of Arab and foreign diplomats.

Kuwaiti ambassador to Qatar Khaled Badr al-Mutairi said: "We highly appreciate the very important messages and content of this speech as it communicated high values and noble ethics that should be embraced to overcome the challenges of the future challenges on the internal and external fronts."

He said that this speech has drawn a map of work for the next stage. Besides, His Highness the Amir affirmed the steadfast stands of Qatar regarding the regional and international issues, and the need to stop aggressions against the brothers in Lebanon and Palestine.

Ambassador of Oman to Qatar Ammar bin Abdullah bin Sultan al-Busaidi pointed out that His Highness the Amir was keen in his speech to inform the Qatari citizens in full transparency and clear language on the latest updates of the current growth rates in the country and the indicators for the next stage.

"We are all proud of His Highness the Amir's keenness on addressing the Palestinian cause and his care to resolve the issue peacefully, in addition to the other current Arab and regional causes," said the ambassador, expressing his appreciation for the special relation between the Qatari people and the other GCC peoples.

Acting charge d'affaires at the Embassy of Lebanon to Qatar Farah Berri said that this speech has presented a comprehensive review of the development progress in Qatar, while stressing the basic foundations of the Qatari foreign policy. In particular, she highly appreciated the special care His Highness the Amir expressed for supporting Lebanon and the need to stop the Israeli aggressions against Lebanon and Gaza.

Ambassador of Jordan to Qatar Zaid Mufleh al-Lawzi appreciated the keenness of Qatar on maintaining world peace and stability through the Qatari mediation efforts stressed at the speech of His Highness the Amir. He also noted that Qatar has been enjoying great progress led by the wisdom of His Highness, who has always showed support to the Palestinian people and Arab solidarity.

Yemeni ambassador to Qatar Rajeh Hussain Farhan Badi said that the stands of Qatar regarding Lebanon and Palestine are praiseworthy and deserve respect from all the Arab people. He said that Qatari mediation efforts to end conflicts in various areas around the world are a subject of pride for all the Arabs and have amazed the whole world.
