The Qatari beach volleyball team has secured a spot in the final of the prestigious World Elite Championship /Joao Pessoa Tour Elite16/ after a commanding 2-0 victory over Argentina in the semi-finals held today in Brazil.

The Qatari duo, Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, delivered an impressive performance, showcasing their skills and determination throughout the match, paving their way to the championship final. They are now set to face the winner of the Norway-Sweden clash, with the final scheduled to take place later Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Qatar also claimed a decisive 2-0 win against Brazil in the quarter-finals, solidifying their dominance in the tournament. Their journey to the quarter-finals was secured by topping Group D with five points, having won two matches and lost one.

The team's participation in the World Elite Championship follows a strong showing at the Arab Championship in Tunisia, where they earned a third-place finish. Prior to that, they represented Qatar at the beach volleyball competition during the Summer Olympics /Paris 2024/, achieving a commendable fourth-place standing.
