PHCC launches second phase of school oral health programme

As part of the development of the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC)’s Asnani School Programme, the management has decided to launch the second phase targeting the teaching and administrative staff in schools to raise awareness about the importance of oral and dental health.

The Asnani Programme team had organised awareness lectures directed at the teaching and administrative staff in primary schools at various intervals, aiming to educate them on the importance of oral and dental health.

Dr Najat al-Yafei, manager of the Oral Health Promotion & Prevention Department at the Preventive Health Directorate, stated that the goal of the second awareness phase is to reach all the teaching, administrative staff and to introduce them to the programme. They would become role models in spreading awareness of oral health, just as they impart knowledge to their students.
