Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns continued violent campaign against UN, its agencies, its officials

Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the continued violent campaign against the United Nations, its agencies, its officials and personnel, including Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese.In a statement today the Ministry said that Israel's 76 years campaign to dismantle the United Nations, undermine its promise, and delegitimize its purpose, is aimed at destroying any obstacle in its plan to exterminate the Palestinian people, to forcibly displace them and replace them, and to implement its supremacist and colonial plans.Israel's campaign against the UN is also aimed at deflecting attention from the savagery and barbarism of Israel and its year long genocide and decades long settler project. Israel's campaign is also aimed at silencing a UN expert that is mandated to report and expose Israeli crimes.The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on all Member States to hold their obligations. Those few Member States who chose to join Israel in its campaign against the UN and human rights defenders are violating their obligations towards the UN and are obscuring their complicity in Israel's genocide, it added.The State of Palestine will continue to further work with Francesca Albanese including in the context of her upcoming presentation to the UN General Assembly of her report.
