Ali Saeed al-Misnad took the Medium Tour honours on the opening day of the fourth round of Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab yesterday. At the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s (QEF) Outdoor Arena, al-Misnad registered the fastest round in 35.31 seconds astride Calgary. Mohammed Khalifa al-Baker came second with Lisabon, while Ghanem Nasser al-Qadi was on Morocco.
The Medium Tour team competition was won by Doha Bank ahead of Al Fardan and Qatar Armed Forces. Ali bin Yousef al-Rumaihi, Assistant Secretary of the QEF, crowned the podium winners.
Earlier, Hamad Tuwaim al-Marri won the Small Tour Hit And Hurry competition clocking 69.5 seconds astride Vamos. Ibrahim Khaled al-Kuwari (Felix) was second, while Jaber Rashid al-Ameri (Cannavaro) finished third.
In the junior rider’s category, Ibrahim Khaled al-Kuwari emerged on top, followed by Mohammed Issa al-Bukhari and Abdulaziz Saud al-Fakhroo. Badr bin Mohammed al-Darwish, President of the QEF, presented the trophies to the winners.
