Zanzibar President Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, on a visit to Qatar, lauded the outstanding achievements of Qatar Charity (QC) in the humanitarian and developmental fields around the world. During a visit to the QC headquarters, he also expressed pride in the projects being implemented in Tanzania and conveyed his desire to expand the horizons of future collaboration with the organisation.

The dignitary was welcomed by QC CEO Yusuf bin Ahmed al-Kuwari. They reviewed QC's humanitarian and developmental efforts worldwide, highlighting the key achievements made in this regard and the projects carried out in Tanzania since the establishment of its office there five years ago.

At the end of the visit, Dr Ali Mwinyi, stated: "I am pleased with this visit. What I have seen is excellent and astonishing. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for what Qatar Charity's office in Dar Salaam is doing by implementing impactful development projects, and I look forward to opening broader avenues for joint cooperation with those in charge in various humanitarian and developmental fields."

QC has more than 33 offices around the world, including its office in Tanzania, which was opened in 2019. Through this office, it has implemented development projects in the areas of water, health, and education, with a total cost of $13mn.
