HE the President of the 66th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilisations Nassir bin Abdulaziz Al Nasser considered the referendum as one of Qatar's everlasting historical days that embodies the great cohesion between the Qatari people and their wise leadership while participating Tuesday in the referendum on the draft constitutional amendments to the country's Permanent Constitution at the headquarters of the First Committee in Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah arena of Al Sadd Sports Club.
In exclusive remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE Al Nasser noted the turnout of the Qatari people to cast their votes in the referendum, in an effective and broad response to the call made by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in this regard. He stressed that the large participation of citizens reflects everyone's keenness on Qatar's bright future and the well-being of its present and future generations.
HE Al Nasser said that the Shura principle is rooted in Qatar's society, indicating that it is represented in the strong and good relationship between the wise leadership and its loyal people of all stripes.
HE Nassir bin Abdulaziz Al Nasser concluded his remarks to QNA by emphasizing that all Qataris are united for the good of their country, its development, and growth under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
