Al Sadd Primary Health Centre has added a new clinic for breast cancer survivors, director Dr Muna al-Hail told local Arabic daily Arrayah. The clinic aims to provide follow-up after the treatment and recovery phase to monitor and intervene promptly if any changes are detected.
She also announced the launch of a minor surgical procedures clinic at the Centre and said several new services are expected to be introduced in the future, including a cupping therapy clinic and expanded radiology services, such as bone density scans for osteoporosis diagnosis.
Al-Sadd Primary Health Centre, one of the newest under the Primary Health Care Corporation, operates at full capacity, serving around 400 patients daily across all specialties, and a total of 12,000 patients monthly. These patients are primarily Qatari citizens and specific exempted groups, including elderly individuals, employees affiliated with Qatari citizens, people with disabilities, and others.
Dr al-Hail said that, as of October, the number of registered individuals at Al-Sadd Primary Health Centre reached 7,652, with 5,404 Qataris and 2,248 non-Qataris. The number of visitors to the centre has been steadily increasing since its opening.
Besides registered Qatari citizens, the centre serves Qataris registered at other centres, allowing them to benefit from its services at any time. The various specialised clinics, include ophthalmology and optometry, audiology, dermatology, ENT, physical therapy, nutrition, psychological support and mental health, memory clinics for the elderly, and general and specialized dental clinics.
Further, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and ultrasound (sonography) services are provided.
