The Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council has launched the national communities for research, development, and Innovation program to provide both physical and virtual means that facilitate collaboration, drive innovation, and help access resources and funding opportunities.
The program allows individuals with shared interests and similar specialties to showcase their skills and initiatives, thereby enhancing collaboration, fostering a culture of innovation, and promoting knowledge exchange.
In this regard, Senior Director of Policy Planning and Evaluation at QRDI, Eng. Nejoud Al Jehani said, "the QRDI Council recognizes that fostering research, development, and innovation (RDI) is essential for addressing pressing national issues. With strong support from the government, establishing a platform for sharing visions and opportunities has become a necessity to harness the collective expertise and creativity of various stakeholders, ultimately strengthening our capacity to meet the goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030."
"When we launched the National RDI Communities, our main objectives were to ensure that RDI experts in the country contribute to achieving the QRDI 2030 Strategy and to encourage engagement and collaboration among community members," she added.
The program also offers participants the tools, networks, and access to the resources and information needed to excel in both local and global research, development, and innovation ecosystems, while effectively contributing to the advancement of these fields in the future.
The program's features include providing opportunities, workshops, and events that foster knowledge exchange, skills development, and collaborative projects aimed at addressing the specific challenges facing various sectors in Qatar.
