HE the Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari participated in the 21st Middle East and South Asia Partners Conference (MESAC), which is being held in Doha.

The MESAC conference is a key platform to promote economic dialogue and exchange of experiences among the region's leaders and reflects Qatar's commitment to supporting regional and international cooperation through sustainable strategies for economic growth and diversification.

Al-Kuwari welcomed all attendees and members participating in this conference, and praised the gathering and its importance in supporting the Qatari and global economy and stressed Qatar's approach to enhancing its economic sustainability, which is evident in adapting to the increase in liquefied natural gas production by more than 80% to reach 142mn tonnes annually by 2030.

In addition to the significant progress made in economic diversification and sustainability, the country's hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2022, strengthened the infrastructure and tourism sectors.

In line with the Third National Development Strategy towards the Qatar National Vision 2030, al-Kuwari stressed the importance of cooperation and benefiting from the expertise among members to build a future-ready workforce capable of facing economic challenges, noting, “Global expertise networks such as KPMG can help support international cooperation and exchange of expertise and best practices.”

On the sidelines of the conference, dialogue continues between members and partners to achieve common goals and enhance economic cooperation.
