In preparation for the upcoming winter season and with the goal of providing safe and dignified shelter to the Syrian displaced families who have endured harsh conditions in tents for many years, Qatar Charity (QC), in collaboration with the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), has begun handing over homes in Al Amal City project in northern Syria’s camps.

The homes are being delivered in a phased manner and the city will officially be inaugurated once the relocation process is completed. The apartments are fully furnished with furniture, electrical appliances, and household items.

Karam Ali, director of QC’s office in Turkiye, expressed gratitude to the people of Qatar for their generous contributions to make the project a reality.

Beneficiaries expressed their immense happiness upon receiving their new apartments in Al Amal City. Displaced woman Um Hassan said: "Today we have been blessed after ten years of patience. During those years, we faced very difficult conditions. We thank the Qatari people and Qatar Charity, who have spared no effort in supporting us."

Al Amal City, located in the town of Suran in northern Aleppo countryside, consists of 1,400 residential units, educational and service facilities, such as schools for boys and girls, a kindergarten, a vocational training school, a mosque, commercial shops, and a clinic. The city is fully equipped with infrastructure, including a water and sewage network, electricity, and paved roads.
