The People's Palace in Damascus hosted Monday Eid Al-Fitr prayers for the first time since the demise of the Bashar Al-Assad regime.Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa and senior officials attended the prayers along with a large number of Syrian people, in a festive atmosphere reflecting a new phase the country is experiencing.Commenting on the occasion, Al Sharaa said his country is writing a new history, stressing that the next phase requires hard work and renouncing differences in order to build a strong and stable nation.He added that the new government, declared two days ago, has moved away from quotas and adopted a participatory approach, stressing that the selection of ministers was based on experience and competence, with the aim of building the country and achieving change and improvement.
