A panel discussion titled ‘Latest Developments in the Rules and Procedures of Regional and International Arbitration Institutions' was among the highlights of the '5th World Conference on International Arbitration' held in Doha on Tuesday.
Sultan al-Abdulla, managing partner of Sultan Al-Abdulla & Partners, moderated the panel discussion, which included the following speakers: Judith Knieper, secretary of the UNCITRAL Working Group II (Dispute Resolution) & UNCITRAL Legal officer; Catherine Dixon, CEO of CIArb; Dr Hamed Merah, CEO of the Saudi Centre for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA); Dr Ismail Selim, president of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI) & director of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA); and Dr Nayla Comair-Obeid, Professor of Law at the Lebanese University and member of the executive board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration.
