The US embassy has announced the start of International Education Week (IEW) 2024, taking place until November 22.

This annual celebration, led by the US Department of State and the Department of Education, highlights the mutual benefits of international education, supporting exchange programmes that foster cultural understanding and inspire global leaders.

This year’s theme, 'Explore,' invites Qatari students to discover the range of opportunities US higher education offers, a statement from the embassy said.

"With nearly 4,000 accredited institutions, flexible degree options, and diverse cultural experiences, studying in the US provides students with a transformative experience and a world-class education. Qatari students currently studying in the US serve as bridges between our cultures, bringing back skills and knowledge that enrich both Qatar and their local communities.

"The US embassy encourages Qatari students and families to explore study programmes, access guidance from EducationUSA, and join IEW to learn more about the unique benefits of US education," the statement added.
