HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, emphasized the vital role of the scout movement as an essential contributor to the educational process.
Speaking at the inaugural gathering of scout and guide teams for individuals with special needs held Wednesday at Al Hidaya Schools for Boys and Girls with Special Needs, Dr. Al Nuaimi lauded the scout movement for its activities aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities. He noted its contributions to developing their personalities, enhancing moral values, encouraging participation in volunteer work, fostering national unity, and promoting mutual respect within the movement.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also highlighted the movements role in enabling individuals with disabilities, enhancing their capabilities, and cultivating life skills and personal growth.
The event featured a range of activities, including a military parade, displays of Qatari flags, and scout workshops. Participants engaged in sessions on scout promises, laws, salutes, mottos, hand signals, handshakes, and scout chants. Additionally, competitions and sports games were organized, with contributions from the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs, alongside schools, educational complexes, and centers.
