The Ministry of Education and Higher Education organised a creative writing competition for fifth and sixth grade primary school students, with the participation of 79 schools, which included 27 boys and 52 girls schools.

The competition aimed to enhance students’ linguistic and writing skills, abilities, develop a spirit of fair competition among them, consolidate educational and ethical principles, support excellence and distinction, and to enhance the love of the Arabic language and its skills among students. The competitions included dictation and writing branches, where the winners of the first three places in each were honoured.

The Creative Writing Skills competition was organised within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to highlight the historical and civilisational role of the Arabic language, as well as its value in terms of building character and its intellectual, cultural formation, in addition to developing students’ writing and dictation skills.
