Moroccan filmmakers, whose films are being screened in the “Made in Morocco” programme at the Ajyal Film Festival 2024, have praised the role of the Doha Film Institute (DFI) in supporting emerging Arab cinematic voices and its celebration of Arab issues, most notably the Palestinian cause.
A number of filmmakers participated in press interviews held on the sidelines of the festival's 12th edition.
The presentation of the “Made in Morocco” programme comes as part of the activities of the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024, and includes selected short films that highlight promising talents in Moroccan cinema today.
The programme was developed in partnership with the Cultural Year Initiative and the Marrakech Short Film Festival. – QNA
