Russia to export up to 60 million tons of grain this season

Russia is expected to export 55-60 million tons of grain in the current agricultural season from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said."The total grain harvest will reach 130 million tons, including 83 million tons of wheat. This volume will enable Russia to export 55-60 million tons of grain this season," Patrushev said, according to Russian News Agency (TASS).According to Patrushev, Russian farmers faced challenging weather conditions this year, including spring frost damage in several regions, summer droughts, and heavy rains during the harvest season."Nevertheless, given the advanced technological capabilities of our agricultural producers, we anticipate a decent harvest this year which will fully meet domestic market demand and sustain a high export potential in terms of raw materials and processed food," Patrushev stressedIn the previous agricultural season, Russia exported 72 million metric tons of grain, including 54.1 million metric tons of wheat.
