ExxonMobil Qatar has appointed Rashid bin Rashid al-Hajri as its new vice-president and manager of Public and Government Affairs.Al-Hajri began his career with ExxonMobil Qatar in 2019 as a Joint Venture Asset adviser. During this time, he was responsible for providing technical and operational support to partners in LNG operating businesses associated with QatarEnergy LNG, and the three LNG terminals in Italy, the UK, and the US. In 2022, he was seconded to Golden Pass LNG in Texas as Facilities and Process Engineering supervisor.Prior to joining ExxonMobil, al-Hajri worked at a Pearl GTL production site in Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) where he held managerial positions in operation, engineering and shutdowns throughout his tenure.Al-Hajri’s in-depth industry knowledge brings a wealth of information to the Public and Government Affairs department and his expertise provides crucial support to the company’s strategic initiatives.“We’re thrilled to have Rashid step into the role of vice-president and manager of Public and Government Affairs. His multifaceted background exemplifies the dynamic spirit that is valued and celebrated at ExxonMobil.Al-Hajri succeeds Saleh al-Mana, who retired after 30 years of service at ExxonMobil Qatar.
