The Joint Committee for Rain Emergencies at the Ministry of Municipality has intensified its efforts to remove rainwater accumulations across the country. Specialized teams successfully extracted over 2.143 million gallons of water within 36 continuous hours, ensuring swift intervention to mitigate disruptions.Teams from various municipalities, the Public Works Authority, and security agencies at the Ministry of Interior collaborated in the operations, aiming for a rapid and efficient response to water pooling.The water extraction process commenced at 6:00 AM on Sunday and continued until 6:00 PM on Monday, involving 406 transfers using 82 tankers and 10 pumps. The operation was overseen by 219 workers who worked around the clock to facilitate smooth traffic flow and minimize the impact of water accumulation.Additionally, the teams responded to 94 reports received through the Ministry of Municipality's unified call center (184). Each report was promptly assessed and referred to the relevant authorities, ensuring swift action in record time.The committee utilizes an advanced reporting mechanism through its main operations room at the unified call center, in addition to receiving alerts via social media platforms. This approach enhances response speed and ensures that emergency cases are addressed with high efficiency.
