Qatar took part as an observer in the 23rd session of the Assembly of States Parties to the International Criminal Court, being held from Dec 2-6 in The Hague.
The Qatari delegation was headed by Qatar's ambassador to the Netherlands Dr Mutlaq bin Majid al-Qahtani.
The session centred on the importance of upholding the rule of law, criminal justice, and international co-operation, as well as addressing the challenges and pressures facing the International Criminal Court. Discussions also focused on international arrest warrants and the crucial need for their enforcement.
