His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Her Highness Consort of the Amir Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim al-Thani attended a dinner banquet hosted in their honour by King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Queen Camilla at Buckingham Palace.
King Charles III made a speech at the outset of the banquet, welcoming Their Highnesses on their state visit and applauding the exemplary relations between the two friendly countries.
The King expressed his admiration for the tremendous development in Qatar across all sectors and his pleasure at the participation of many British companies in this progress. He also emphasized the importance of His Highness the Amir's visit, which represents an opportunity to celebrate the strategic relations between the two countries, looking forward to further cooperation in various fields.
On his part, His Highness the Amir hailed the strong ties of friendship between the two countries and the fruitful strategic co-operation in all areas. He expressed deep thanks and appreciation to King Charles III and Queen Camilla for the kind invitation, as well as for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him, Her Highness Sheikha Jowaher, and the accompanying official delegation, which reflect the profound friendly and historical relations between the two countries and their peoples.
The dinner banquet was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani and a number of members of the official delegation.
Present from the British side were Prince William of Wales, Princess Catherine of Wales, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, several members of the royal family, and guests.
