His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended the dinner banquet hosted in his honour by Lord Mayor of the City of London Alastair King at Mansion House in London on Wednesday.
In a speech, His Highness the Amir expressed appreciation to the mayor for the warm reception accorded to him and the accompanying delegation, highlighting the strong ties between Qatar and the United Kingdom, which encompass co-operation in various fields such as economy, culture, education, and healthcare. His Highness the Amir emphasised that the relationship between the two countries would continue to flourish in all areas, advancing their mutual interests and contributing to addressing shared global challenges.
The Lord Mayor of the City of London also delivered a speech, welcoming the state visit of His Highness the Amir to the United Kingdom, praising the Amir's efforts in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The banquet was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, along with members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
On the British side, a number of businessmen, senior officials, and guests were present. (QNA)
