US First Lady Dr Jill Biden visited Qatar Foundation (QF) Friday to learn about the organisation’s vision and mission, and its unique ecosystem of education, science and research, and community development, a statement said.
She received an overview of the QF's Education City from the eighth floor viewing balcony at the 2015 Building (QF Headquarters), where she met QF representatives whose work is focused on the fields of education, healthcare, and social progress.
Reflecting her work as an educator, and her interest in precision medicine and women’s health, Dr Biden was also given a tour of QF partner university Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, one of six US universities with branch campuses at Education City, where she met the university’s leadership, a faculty member, and students.
