Qatar has expressed deep concern over the evolving situation in Syria, emphasising the importance of preserving national institutions and safeguarding the unity of the Syrian state to avert potential chaos.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast position on resolving the Syrian crisis in alignment with international legitimacy and UN Security Council Resolution 2254; to realise the interests of the Syrian people and preserve the unity, sovereignty and independence of the country.
The statement called on all parties to embrace dialogue as a means to end bloodshed, protect national institutions, and secure a brighter future for the Syrian people. It highlighted the need to achieve their aspirations for development, stability, and justice.
Qatar reiterated its unwavering solidarity with the Syrian people and affirmed its commitment to supporting their legitimate choices and aspirations.
