HE the President of the Investment and Trade Court, Judge Khalid bin Ali al-Obaidly, met with Secretary-General of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC)'s Commercial Arbitration Centre, Kamal bin Abdullah al-Hamad, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed arbitration and commercial dispute settlement mechanisms in the region, in addition to avenues for advancing investment and trade laws, as well as the challenges facing the commercial judiciary.
Al-Hamad listened to a detailed explanation about the court, its functions and vital role in achieving justice and expediting commercial measures.
Al-Hamad toured the court's modern facilities and informed about the pursued measures, underscoring the State of Qatar's commitment to augmenting its legal and commercial infrastructure and creating a safe environment for investment.
