The ongoing HH The Amir Bowling Cup 2024, organised by the Qatar Bowling Federation, saw Qatar players excel on Day five of the tournament. Action in the singles with four attempts witnessed excitement and competition between players, with the entry of the world star and champion of the previous edition Swede Kim Bolleby.
Qatar’s Abdulrahman al-Dosari topped the first attempt with 717 points, while Bolleby finished second place with 715 points. Canadian Nathan Lagoa was third with 693 points. Qatari Hazem al-Muraikhi came in fourth place with 689 points, and Malaysian Ahmad Moez was fifth place with 679 points.
In the second attempt, Bolleby stood first with 711 points, Malaysian Tun Hakim second with 695 points, Egyptian Karim Mahmoud third with 669 points, and with the same score, Emirati Obaid al-Saadi came in fourth place. Qatari Mohammed al-Muraikhi was fifth 654 points.
In the third attempt, Qatar’s Talal al-Marri achieved the full round with 300 points, which was the highest score achieved so far in the third attempt and raised his score to 765 points, which was also highest score in the four attempts. He won the award for being the highest scorer for a second day in a row. Al-Marri also strengthened his lead in the overall standings of the tournament, raising his tally to 2,274 points.
In the third attempt, Qatar’s Hamad al-Mas was second with 740 points, while his compatriot al-Dosari finished third with 714 points. In the fourth and final attempt, Hazem al-Muraikhi finished first with 699 points, Filipino Marky Delcarmen second place with 642 points, while Mohammed al-Muraikhi of Qatar was third with 629 points, his compatriot Ahmed al-Ruwaili finished fourth place with 599 points. Qatari Adel Abdullah ended fifth with 596 points.
