HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed AlKhater, accompanied by UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, visited the Palestinian School in Doha Monday.
The minister inspected the school environment and the services provided to students at all levels, and in their various age groups and educational stages, including students who were recently evacuated to receive treatment in Qatar.
HE AlKhater listened to detailed explanations from the students about their academic and life concerns, interests, and future aspirations, and was reassured about the progress of the educational process at the school.
Her visit, accompanied by the UN official, came as an expression of Qatar’s firm commitment to providing quality education to all children studying in its schools, as a basic human right, so that no child is left behind.
At the end of the visit, HE the Minister of Education and Lazzarini planted an olive tree in the courtyard of the Palestinian School, in the presence of students, teaching and administrative staff, expressing their desire to establish peace and give students hope to return to school in Palestine.
