Qatar Museums (QM) has invited the public to visit the ‘Chaumet & Nature’ jewellery exhibition before it closes on December 19 at M7. It is organised by Maison Chaumet in collaboration with QM, M7 and Qatar Creates.

‘Chaumet & Nature’ is a celebration of the House of Chaumet’s 240-year heritage, blending nature’s beauty with the art of fine jewellery.

Almost 107 exquisite jewellery pieces and 111 visual artworks showcase Chaumet’s unparalleled craftsmanship and unique designs which celebrate the vitality of the natural world.

Founded in 1780, Maison Chaumet stands as one of France’s oldest and most iconic jewellery houses, closely linked to the development of the nation. Its legacy began with Chaumet’s first major client, Napoleon Bonaparte, for whom the Maison’s founder, Marie-étienne Nitot, designed a spectacular épée for his coronation as Emperor.

Since then, Chaumet has drawn inspiration from the natural world, translating its beauty into timeless jewellery. The exhibition merges Chaumet’s remarkable collections with those of Qatar Museums, celebrating their shared history dating back to the 1970s.

This exhibition also highlights M7’s role in connecting local talent with global brands. The story began with a venture to create Maison’s Arabic logo, in partnership with M7. Together, they chose Qatar-based designer Zainab AlShibani to carry out the project.

AlShibani’s work reflects the essence of Chaumet, seamlessly blending the Maison’s heritage of elegance and sophistication with the spirit of innovation. The logo symbolises the harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity, underscoring the powerful connection between local creativity and the world-renowned legacy of Chaumet.
