Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Qatar Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan al-Saud affirmed that the Qatar National Day (QND) is a dear occasion for his country, as it is dear to the Qatari people.
He told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the QND is a dear occasion not only for the brothers in Qatar but also for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has strong historical, fraternal, and family ties with Qatar, its leadership, and its dear people.
The historical ties between the two countries extend back more than 146 years, since the era of the founder of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, who had friendly relations with King Abdulaziz, in which the leaders of the two countries have strengthened over these decades until the present era, he added.
The ambassador extended his sincere congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on this national occasion. He also congratulated the Qatari people and wished Qatar continued goodness, security, and prosperity.
He praised the achievements made by Qatar under its wise leadership, thanking the wisdom of His Highness the Amir and his insightful vision, in which the State has made great development achievements and renaissance that has covered all aspects of life.
He praised Qatar's successful and effective diplomatic approach at the regional and international levels, based on the principle of mediation, peace, and harmony, in addition to efforts to resolve disputes peacefully, which is appreciated and commended.
The ambassador expressed his pride and honour in representing his country in Qatar, referring to Qatar as a neighbouring brotherly country that is dear to the kingdom.
He also expressed his pride in the important achievements made in developing bilateral relations in all fields, affirming his great confidence in the two countries moving forward towards a promising future for the path of these distinguished relations.
