Egypt's ties with Qatar based on common historical, human values

Egypt's ambassador to Qatar Amr El Sherbini has affirmed that the Egyptian-Qatari relations are based on common historical and humanitarian values based on the foundations of co-operation and mutual interests, stressing that they receive great attention from senior officials in the two countries to strengthen the bonds of friendship and co-operation in all political, economic, and social fields, and achieve more prosperity for the two brotherly peoples.In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the Qatar National Day (QND), he pointed out his country's endeavour to maintain its relations with Qatar and push it forward towards a promising and prosperous future by developing political, economic, and cultural relations, as well as facilitating investment opportunities for companies from both countries, indicating that this occasion is an opportunity to emphasize the depth of fraternal relations that unite the two brotherly countries to remind that these deep-rooted relations are based on love and common aspirations for the progress of the Egyptian and Qatari peoples.The ambassador praised the role of the two countries in developing aspects of co-operation in various political and economic fields as bilateral relations are witnessing broad movement at a high pace through mutual visits between officials of the two brotherly countries. The ambassador said that in addition to the official level of relations, cultural co-operation constitutes an important component of soft power in the relations between the two countries, highlighting the role of the Egyptian community in supporting these relations at the popular level, through its contribution to achieving the state's goals towards development, progress, and prosperity.El Sherbini also highlighted Qatar's achievements and successes in recent years in various developmental, economic, investment, social, and political fields, through the implementation of national strategies and development projects, which made Qatar a model to be emulated in comprehensive and sustainable development.He emphasized that the Qatari economy has succeeded in strengthening its strength in the regional and international arenas despite the effects that have occurred on the global economy, thanks to the solid policies, foundations, and sound measures taken by the state in dealing with challenges, as it has been able during the past years to achieve progress in economic diversification by completing a large number of important industrial and agricultural projects, which have enhanced the achievement of the self-sufficiency strategy, in addition to its interest in economic and investment legislation and laws that help attract foreign investments and attract international companies to work in the State of Qatar.The ambassador highlighted the important and well-known role played by Qatar at the diplomatic level through mediation efforts in settling disputes, encouraging and establishing platforms for dialogue in peacemaking and resolving and settling many issues, crises, and disputes in the region, as Qatar has become a center for conferences and meetings that discuss political, economic, developmental and social issues, in addition to its participation in many meetings and dialogues between conflicting parties and its launching of initiatives to enhance dialogue between cultures, religions, and peoples.He referred to the humanitarian efforts undertaken by Qatar to support the affected areas, especially in the current conditions that Gaza is suffering from, through the institutions working in the humanitarian sector, and its role in delivering humanitarian aid to the sector in co-ordination with Egypt.The ambassador extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the Qatari government and people, wishing goodness, security, and prosperity for Qatar.
