Iran’s ambassador to Qatar Ali Salehabadi considered Qatar National Day as an important time to reflect and celebrate the national achievements made by Qatar, noting that the State has become the focus of the world’s attention for its achievements at all levels.

Speaking to QNA, he pointed out that Qatar’s foreign policy is marked by its reliance on the principles of mediation and credibility, which has earned it the respect of the international community, especially in issues related to the security and stability of the region.

He noted the renewed renaissance witnessed by the country under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, who continues with steady steps to implement Qatar National Vision 2030 by launching major strategic projects contributes to achieving sustainable development and enhances Qatar’s position regionally and internationally.

He pointed out that Qatar celebrates National Day amidst an atmosphere of joy and brotherhood, noting that this day, known as Founder’s Day, holds a special place in the hearts of the Qatari people as an occasion that represents a symbol of historical glory, present achievements, bright future hopes, and a source of pride and honour for all members of society.

He congratulated the Qatari people on this occasion and wished the State continued progress and prosperity. Regarding Qatari-Iranian relations, he noted that they are based on the principles of good neighbourliness and co-operation, pointing to the remarkable development witnessed between them over the years thanks to the wise visions of the leaderships of the two countries.

Fraternal relations between Iran and Qatar are strengthened by mutual diplomatic and humanitarian stances, in addition to co-operation in various political and economic fields, the ambassador said, noting as well the two countries’ keenness to consolidate their bilateral relations in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples, especially in light of the common vision that unites them regarding regional and international issues, and in efforts to enhance peace and stability.
