The member states of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) have signed a decision to restructure the organization, redraft its establishment agreement, and change its name to the Arab Energy Organization (AEO).
The decision was made during the organization's 113th ministerial meeting held in Kuwait.
OAPEC General Secretariat noted that the decision to restructure the organization, redraft its establishment agreement, develop its work, and change its name was based on a proposal submitted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
