The Ministry of Interior (MoI) introduced the updated version of Metrash on Tuesday to provide a more user-friendly experience while reducing steps, easing use and ensuring digital security.The application, available on the App Store and Google Play, offers more than 440 services, including 100 new services.In a video released by MoI, Brig. Jassim al-Buhashim al-Sayed, Director General of Communications and Information Systems and Secretary to the Minister of Interior for Coordination and Follow-Up, explained that the services guarantee great facilities for users to complete their official procedures, whether they are inside or outside the country, around the clock, through a channel with high reliability and a distinguished degree of digital security. He pointed out that work is continuing to develop and provide new services with qualified Qatari hands within highly skilled local technical teams. "Work is currently underway to develop another qualitative and integrated version of Metrash, which will witness a major shift in the coming months to provide a unique and unprecedented experience,” he noted.The services provided through the application and other channels, such as the Ministry of Interior’s website, various service centres and integrated services with other ministries and government and private entities, have grown with the number of total users crossing more than 2mn.The new features include a new visual identity and modern interactive interface design taking into account quick access to services and re-engineering services and procedures merging some services, shortening them and reducing their steps. Also, more than 100 new services have been added including profile, authorisation, inquiry, security services, appointment booking services and certificates. Modern payment methods such as Apple Pay too were added. The updated version is easy to use with artificial intelligence technology and modern digital technologies. Also, it ensures the security and protection of users' personal and sensitive data.
