Qatar’s padel team won the bronze medal at the 2024 Arabian Gulf Cup held in Kuwait with the participation of hosts Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Oman.
The Qatar team beat Bahrain 2-0 in the third-place match to claim the bronze medal. Qatar’s team comprised of Mohammed Saadoun al-Kuwari, Jabr Noah, Abdullah Haji, Hassan Wali, Mohammed al-Khenji, Rayan al-Jafari, Mishari Nawaf, in addition to Omar Hassan and Mohammed Abdullah. Khalid al-Khalifi, Board Member of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation and Head of the National Teams Committee, praised the achievements of the Qatar padel team players at the championship and thanked them for their outstanding performance throughout.
He said: “Our players showed a good level of performance and high level of sportsmanship.”
Al-Khelaifi stressed that this achievement represents an important step towards improving the level of the game in Qatar, supporting players and providing them with everything they need to achieve more success and development in the future. He noted the importance of the Gulf events in developing the game in the region, and that the Arabian Gulf Padel Cup contributes significantly to raising the level of competitiveness among players and providing an ideal environment for gaining experience and enhancing skills.
