The government media office in the Gaza Strip confirmed Monday that the Israeli occupation forces committed a horrific, brutal crime in the new camp in Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip, after storming it yesterday morning (Sunday) with more than 17 tanks, bulldozers, military vehicles and dozens of heavily armed soldiers.

The office said in a statement that the storming of the new camp resulted in 50 martyrs and wounded, more than half of whom were children and women, in addition to the demolition, demolition, shelling and destruction of more than 20 housing units.

The statement noted that this is not the first time that the occupation forces have carried out a brutal and barbaric aggression on the new camp in Nuseirat, adding that they have stormed it more than five times throughout the genocide crime, which has claimed the lives of more than 100 martyrs and dozens of injuries, and resulted in the demolition, bombing and destruction of more than 1,500 housing units.

The Government Media Office condemned the barbaric aggression committed by the occupation forces in the new camp in Nuseirat, stressing that it comes within the framework of the crime of genocide, systematic killing, comprehensive destruction and forced displacement against civilians, calling for condemning the crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people.

It also called on the international community and international and UN organizations to take urgent and effective action to stop the occupation's crimes and repeated violations and ensure the protection of civilians, children, women and public facilities.

The occupation forces penetrated the new camp northwest of Nuseirat at dawn yesterday, Sunday, under heavy fire cover from vehicles and drones, which flew at low altitudes in the skies of the camp since the beginning of the operation until dawn on Monday, which prevented the recovery of the dead and wounded, but the features of this crime began to be revealed this morning, after the ambulance crews were able to carry out their duties.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced earlier Monday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 had risen to 45,317 martyrs and 107,713 wounded.
