Prime Minister of Lebanon's Caretaker Government, Najib Mikati, called for pressure on the Israeli entity to implement the terms of the ceasefire deal, halt its breaches and withdraw immediately from the border areas in southern Lebanon.This came during the meeting of the technical committee for monitoring ceasefire chaired by Mikati, in the presence of chairman of the committee US General, Jasper Jeffers, Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, alongside members of the committee, namely French General, Guillaume Ponchin, Commander of the South Litani Sector in the Lebanese army, Brigadier General Edgar Lowndes, and Commander of the international forces operating in southern Lebanon, General Aroldo Lazaro.Despite Lebanon's commitment to the terms of understanding, Israel continues its breaches which is unacceptable, Mikati stressed, calling on the committee to step up pressure on Israel to implement those terms, foremost of which is its withdrawal from the occupied territories and halt the breaches.The Committee is poised to consistently hold meetings with the Lebanese army to discuss items on the agenda, with its regular meeting scheduled for early 2025.
