Fourteen Qatari scouts and three scouters are introducing Qatar's culture to the world in a scouting event in Hong Kong.
The participants from the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association are doing activities alongside 600 counterparts from 14 countries in the event that runs through December 27 under the theme 'We are the future'.
Head of the delegation Ahmed Khamis al-Yousef said it was an opportunity to exchange cultures and develop ties with scouts from across the world.
The Qatari delegation is holding a side exhibition to introduce Qatar's culture, civilisation, achievements and tourism potential to the world, al-Yousef added.
Offering a unique platform for further co-operation and partnerships among national scout associations, the event features various activities, primarily a forum to deliberate issues related to society, environment and democracy and sports contests.
There will also be a cultural festival for scouts to introduce their countries to the world through photos, cuisine, folkloric arts and other cultural activities.
The event is dedicated to the 14 to 17 age group.
