The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) has strongly condemned the burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces and the removal of all patients and medical staff.
In a statement on Saturday, GCC Secretary-General, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, affirmed that targeting medical centers and hospitals constitutes a dangerous escalation that increases the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the Palestinian territories, requiring immediate international intervention to stop these violations.
These practices not only deepen humanitarian crises but also represent a flagrant violation of international charters that guarantee the protection of civilians and medical facilities during conflicts, stressed Albudaiwi, calling for ensuring the necessary support for the medical sector in the Gaza Strip, which is suffering catastrophic conditions as a result of these attacks.
On Friday, the Israeli occupation army committed an arson that entirely devastated the sections of operations, surgery, laboratory, maintenance, emergency units, and storage at Kamal Adwan hospital, in addition to destroying its electricity generators and forcing medical practitioners and patients to evacuate the medical facility.
