The Customs officials at Hamad International Airport have foiled the attempt to smuggle narcotic pills to Qatar. According to an X post by the General Authority of Customs (GAC), narcotic Lyrica pills were recovered from a passenger. The passenger’s baggage was checked due to suspicion. It was scanned by an X-ray machine and transferred for manual inspection.

After inspection and manual search, the narcotic pills were found hidden inside the cavities of the bag. The total number of seized pills amounted to approximately 1932.
