The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said Wednesday that hospitals in Gaza have become death traps.

UNRWA explained that, "families are torn apart, children are freezing to death and starvation is cutting lives short," calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

UNRWA's statements come in light of the Israeli occupation's ongoing bombing and direct targeting of hospitals, as the three public hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip - Kamal Adwan, Beit Hanoun and the Indonesian Hospital, have gone out of service due to the escalation of the occupation's relentless onslaught

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, only 14 hospitals (out of 36) in Gaza are partially operating, and are facing a severe shortage of supplies.

The Israeli occupation's relentless genocide against the Gaza Strip, which started on Oct. 7, 2023, continues, amid complete destruction of infrastructure and services.
