The local Da'wa Championship started Tuesday at the 16th edition of the Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival (Marmi 2025).
The event is organised by the Qatari Falconry Association under the patronage of HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, supported by the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Daam), and set to go on until February 1 at Sabkhat Marmi in the Sealine area.
The semi-final competitions in the Tala’a Championship, according to the statement, will be held Wednesday.
The first qualifying rounds were completed last Wednesday after the postponed competitions were held. The number of qualifiers for the semi-finals in Tala’a reached 28 contestants.
Tala'a committee member Rashdan Obaid al-Rashdan said that the group competitions, which had been postponed previously, resulted in the qualification of five falcons to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals will be held Wednesday.
The competitions of Group 13 in the Haddad Al Tahadi Championship were also held Tuesday, resulting in the victory and qualification of two contestants.
Marmy Festival chairman Metaib Mubarak al-Qahtani crowned the winning teams and those who qualified for the finals.
Haddad Al Tahadi committee chairman Shawi al-Kaabi said that competitions of the 14th group will be held this evening.
