The semi-finals of Al Tala’a Championship between the three previously postponed groups were held Sunday at the 16th edition of the Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival (Marmi 2025).

One falcon from each group qualified for the finals bringing the total number of contestants for finals to six.

The festival, organised by Al Gannas Qatari Society and sponsored by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, with support from the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Daam), runs until February 1.

Meanwhile, the finals of the Tala’a and Da’u championships will be held Tuesday.

The finals, according to an official statement from Marmi, will feature six competitors.

Rashdan Obaid al-Rashdan, a member of Al Tala’a Committee, said that a very strong final is awaited.

“The competition is between the six falcons that have risen in record times and therefore the competition will be strong,” he said.

The festival on Tuesday will witness the final of the local invitation championship for the qualifiers in the seven categories while the final of the international invitation will be held on Wednesday.

The competitions of Group 17 in the Hadad Al Tahadi Championship were held Sunday evening, resulting in the victory of three falconers and their qualification for the final.

Metaib bin Mubarak al-Qahtani, chairman of the Marmi Festival, crowned the winners and finalists.

Shawi al-Kaabi, chairman of the Hadda Al Tahaddi Committee, said that the round was strong, with 27 falconers competing in the field.
