Thousands of Palestinians offered Friday prayers at the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque Friday despite the military restrictions placed on entry by the occupation authorities.

About 40,000 individuals attended the prayers, according to the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem. The Palestinian news agency (WAFA), for its part, acknowledged that the occupying forces blocked worshippers' ability to enter the mosque and offer prayers through Bab Al-Asbat and Bab Al-Amud. Several Palestinians offered Friday prayers outside the mosque.
